TEAM members should be able to be assigned to PLANs and not have access to ALL plans.

When creating team members we should have the ability to assign them to all plans or select individual plans. There is a huge business case for not always giving access to all plans all of the time for team members. Especially since to lock MySQL access behind sites in a plan.

Any updates on this feature?

Unable to provide individual secure access to individual sites

If I get backend access (not wordpress) access to a client - they have access to all of my websites - not just a specific one. The lack of this feature sucks!

Thanks for the feedback, Trevor. It's something our customers (and we!) have been wanting us to implement for a long time. It's a significant lift to introduce this to our backend systems, so I don't have anything I can share about when this will be available at this time, but it's on our roadmap. I'm going to merge this item in with our running thread about this.

I see this is planned which is good but at the same time I'm seeing this issue being raised in 2021. It's almost 2024 now. Where is this?!?
Tiffany Bridge
Because of the significant size and complexity of introducing that feature to our back end systems, it does not currently have a release date on the roadmap that we can publicize, but we know it's something our customers have consistently been asking for and our product team is working on it.
I'm sorry I don't have a more satisfying answer, but this IS something we are trying to pin down a date on.

Tiffany Bridge: Not good enough. This has been an issue for 2.5years. This was first brought up in Aug 2021. I'll be moving hosts as I need a hosting company that supports me and my clients. This is a make or break deal.

Customer Feedback On Team Members
Nicholas Crady
It would be great to see more effort put into making team settings more useful in Nexcess. It really is quite important to be able to assign managing staging to the technical team members. Beyond that, it would be extremely useful if team members could be assigned to each website or at minimum by plan. As it is now, the team member's are assigned at the account level which is almost useless when managing a large number of websites.
Please keep me updated on progress here.

Team Members should be able to be assigned to specific websites

When creating team members, we should be able to select which websites they have access to. I have team members who only work on specific sites, and I don't want to give them access to all of the sites on our server, or even all of the sites within a single plan. We need to be able to delegate access to make DNS changes, for example, for a single website. It is crazy to me that I can't do this. I'm considering switching the DNS control over to GoDaddy so I can delegate access to a specific site there, because apparently, I can't do that in the Nexcess portal. Please make this a feature ASAP. Thank you!

Segregate control panel access by domain
.
Modify the Nexcess user authorizations so that it's possible to create "Teams" that are segregated by domain. This would allow partners/resellers to include the hosting control panel with a managed hosting solution. As it is, I can either allow my client to access
all
of the domains in my plan, or none
of them.Tiffany Bridge

Client access to their site in Nexcess

It would occasionally be very useful to allow some of the clients whose sites I host in my Nexcess portal access to the management console for their site. Currently I could add a user but they would have access to all of the sites in the portal, which is a non-starter.
This was prompted by a need to share AWStats with a client, so if there would be a way for that to be shared even if the rest of the Nexcess functionality is not available, that would still be helpful.

I'm merging these two suggestions because they're really talking about the same general need. We agree that this would be a valuable improvement to our portal. It's a big lift so I can't promise a release date, but it's planned.
